ARIZONA COUNCIL FOR ADMINISTRATORS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

PURPOSE:
Arizona CASE Scholarship was established as a means of encouraging individuals to choose careers in special education, especially in areas of need. The AZ CASE will assist in pursuing their post-graduate education with an award of up to $2,000.00.

ELIGIBILITY:
Recipients of scholarships must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Resident of Arizona;

2. Enrolled in, or accepted into a graduate program of study in special education or in a related field.

This award is not limited to CASE members or to special education administrators. It is intended for an individual who has demonstrated leadership qualities and who has accomplished something of significance making a difference for students with disabilities.

Do you know that special student who excels despite their disability?

AZCEC wants to recognize those students who exhibit the "I CAN DO IT!" attitude by doing their best in academics, art, athletics, community service, employment, self-advocacy, technology or independent life skills.

Nominate those special students for the 2009 "I CAN DO IT!" student award. Download the nomination form and submit by February 6, 2009.

Students will be selected on the basis of merit and recognized at the 2009 AZCEC/CASE Annual Conference on March 6, 2009.

The meeting was called to order at 9:15.
The board would like a member to be at the Representative Assembly at next year’s Convention in Seattle. Joan MacDonald will go.
