AZCASE Outstanding Leadership Award
The Arizona CASE Award for Outstanding Leadership will be given to the person who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in supporting special education and/or inclusive programming. This award is not limited to CASE members or to special education administrators. It is intended for an individual who has demonstrated leadership qualities and who has accomplished something of significance making a difference for students with disabilities.
The contribution can be in general or special education but should be one that results in improved service to special education students. The nominee need not be a member of Arizona CASE but must be nominated or endorsed by an Arizona CASE member.
ELIGIBILITY:
Any person who has demonstrated leadership that has resulted in improved service(s) to special education students may be nominated.
SELECTION PROCEDURES:
1. Nominees will be nominated/endorsed by a Arizona CASE member.
2. A nomination form must be submitted.
3. All materials must be received before the deadline.
4. The award recipient will be chosen by the Awards Committee, consisting of three members of the Arizona CASE Executive Committee and one additional Arizona CASE member.
5. The award recipient shall receive an engraved plaque.
6. The plaque will be presented at the Arizona CASE Law Conference on March 6, 2009.
